Angela Catherine Shepherd, 28, was convicted of two counts of being carried in a car taken without the owner's consent in Wollongong Local Court on October 23 by Magistrate Robert walker.
The magistrate set a non-parole period of four months, meaning with time served she is eligible for release.
Shepherd was arrested after the car in which she was a passenger was involved in a police chase and crash on June 25.
Police alleged Shepherd was in the vehicle stolen from Broughton Village, which reached estimated speeds of at least 180km/h in a 100km/h zone on the Princes Highway.
Officers approached the car as it encountered heavy traffic at the intersection of the Princes and Illawarra highways, but the vehicle allegedly rammed a police car before heading south and slamming into three other vehicles at the Creamery Road intersection.
The court heard Shepherd sustained a fractured chest plate and damage to her oesophagus in the crash, and was arrested at the scene.
The male driver ran from the scene and was arrested after a short foot pursuit. He is still currently before the courts facing a number of charges.
Two other charges against Shepherd of driving a car taken without the owner's consent, being carried in a car without the owner's consent and stealing a motor vehicle were withdrawn and dismissed.
