After playing a pair of Twenty20 matches in the opening weekend of the competition, Sunday saw the girls contest a 50-over game.
Batting first, the girls endured a tough morning, with Sutherland/St George bowling Greater Illawarra Zone out for 73.
Lily Savelli top-scored for the side with 11.
Savelli then impressed with the ball as the Greater Illawarra side attempted to defend a low total.

Greater Illawarra Zone made a good fist of claiming an unlikely victory, with Savelli finishing with figures of 2/11, while Annalee Watson and Kobi Lynch-Munro were also economical.
Ultimately, however, the effort fell short, with Sutherland/St George reaching 7/74 in the 27th over.
The Greater Illawarra Zone squad, who are 0-3 on the year, will now regroup ahead of a clash with Bankstown in Berry this Sunday.
The match will likely be a tough one for the girls, with Bankstown currently sitting fifth on the ladder with two wins and one loss.
