The seven-track journey stems from moments of heartache and loss to the personal trials and tribulations that have followed, delivered through the lens of his political eye and Indigenous pride.
Nooky described the EP as a reflection of the story of Nowra and the black cockatoos flying through the fire - an ancient story told in a modern way.
Nooky grew up in Nowra and moved away at the age of 18. He pays tribute to his hometown stomping ground through the EP's title.
"It reflects my memories of the place," he said.
"We'd go and hang out there and wait for my uncles to come out of the RSL where they'd win some money. I also played some of my first shows at Junction Court when I first got into rapping."
Junction Court also brings to light some of the frustrations and helplessness Nooky felt at a time of grievous loss.
It's dedicated to both his cousin who inspired him to get into rapping, and close friend Lucas O'Connor.
Nooky and Lucas grew up together, playing football for the Nowra Warriors and Nowra Bomaderry Jets. Lucas was killed in a car accident in 2009, aged 18.
"It's dedicated to people that are important to me and I want to give my community the respect it deserves," Nooky said.
The album was filmed in Nowra, Wollongong and Sussex Inlet and features many local landmarks - Manildra, Jolly Ollie's, Junction Street and the Shoalhaven Bridge are just a few.
Nooky enjoys returning to Nowra as often as possible and is looking forward to a hometown performance next month.
He'll launch Junction Court at the Shoalhaven Entertainement Centre on Saturday, November 16.
Nooky is also hosting 'Nooky's guided tour of Nowra' on Saturday, November 16 from 1-5pm. It features a tour of "everyday Nowra shit", including a visit to the Nowra Pawn Brokers and South Nowra Maccas.
