ULLADULLA United product Tom Engelbrecht has continued his strong start to the 2019/20 NSW Premier Cricket season, by scoring a blazing century for his St George side on Sunday.
Engelbrecht smashed 125 from 113, which included 15 boundaries and one six, as his team reached 6/305 from their 50 overs against UNSW at David Phillips South.
But this knock was not enough, as 160 not out from Jack Attenborough steered UNSW, which contains Ulladulla Matthew Gilkes - who scored six, to 7/307 after 49.1 overs, to win the Poidevin-Gray Shield clash by three wickets.
Through his first six matches, Engelbrecht has scored 214 runs, as an average of 35.7, while also claiming four wickets with the ball.
On Saturday, the Dragons made 6/318 from their 96 overs, on day one of their match at Parramatta against Old King Oval - with Engelbrecht making 36.
Elsewhere in first grade, Philip Wells and Adam Ison's Campbelltown-Camden are chasing Sutherland's total of 229.
On day two at Raby Oval, the Ghosts will resume at 2/73, with Nowra's Ison already out for 24 with North Nowra-Cambewarra's Wells unbeaten on 15.
The final Shoalhaven product in action in first grade on Saturday was Gilkes.
The Ulladulla junior made 48 for his Bumble Bees, as they posted 256 in their first innings against Western Suburbs at Pratten Park.
