IN some ways, Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens would consider making three grand finals in one season as successful.

But when you only claim one premiership, it can leave a sour taste in your mouth.
This is the case for Daniel Gleeson and his Ex-Servos first grade side.
"We certainly didn't play anywhere near our ability in the two-day final, which was really disappointing," he said.
"That defeat, along with the loss to Berry in the T20 final, will be driving us this season."
If they are to improve on last year's efforts, they are going to need others to step up, with Trevor Thomason, Justin Ganderton, Nathan Austin and Nate Jones all not part of the club in 2019/20.
"With Nate [Jones] only playing the odd game and Trevor [Thomason], Justin [Ganderton] and Nathan [Austin] moving on, we are going to need a big year from Sam Bagnall and Nathan Tyrrell with the ball," Gleeson said.

On the flip side, the side will be bolstered by the inclusion of star batsmen Manning Berry, who joins from Gerringong.
"Manning [Berry] is a big in for our club," Gleeson said.
"He's a quality cricketer, who played for Greater Illawarra Zone last year and is in the South Coast Crew side this season."
Along with Berry, Gleeson expects himself, Chris Bramley, Blake Munilla and recruit Corey Evans to provide most of the Hayden Drexel Oval based team's runs.
"The strength of our side is our depth," Gleeson said.
"We have a squad where most players are capable with the bat and ball.
"It's this depth which make us suited to the shorter formats of the game
"But in saying that, we have every intention on winning three premierships this season."
Ex-Servos start their campaign at the Berry Sports Complex on Saturday, with a one-day fixture from 1pm against the Magpies.
