More security cameras and a more prominent police presence were among the top priorities for residents polled around the Nowra CBD on Tuesday, October 15.
All residents asked what improvements they would like to see made to the area said they wanted a greater security presence, particularly through the arcades down towards Woolworths.
"Sometimes it's not a comfortable place to be," said Virginia Pratt.
Peter Nosworthy said the area "can be rough", and that affected business.
Maree Brown said she was please when security cameras were installed, but would like to see more parking for caravans.
"Some towns welcome grey nomads - we make them walk to and from the Entertainment Centre to do their grocery shopping," she said.
"We rate as one of the poorest towns for shopping with a caravan."
Improved parking and footpaths were also nominated as areas that could be improved upon.
