Jeremy Scott Lindsay Mitchell, 25, will spend at least 20 months behind bars after pleading guilty to police pursuit, reckless driving, driving while disqualified and the illegal use of conveyance in Nowra Local Court on October 4.
Court papers said a Volkswagen Golf was seen by police allegedly driving in a dangerous manner east on the Kings Highway between Queanbeyan and Bungendore about 9.25am on August 15.
Police said checks revealed the car had been stolen during a carjacking in the ACT.
About 10.35am, the vehicle was spotted by Traffic and Highway Patrol officers travelling north on Braidwood Road at Yerriyong, west of Nowra.
Officers attempted to stop the car however the vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit began.
During the pursuit the vehicle reached speeds of 200km/h in a 100km/h zone.
A short time later road spikes were successfully deployed and stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Braidwood Road and Albatross Road at Nowra Hill.
Magistrate Gabrielle Fleming sentenced Mitchell to three years' jail with a non parole period of 20 months.
