Nine people will face court later this month following a proactive police operation in Nowra.

Over three days, last Wednesday to Friday (October 9-11), officers attached to South Coast Police District led a joint proactive crime team operation, seizing weapons, drugs and goods believed to be stolen.
Over the course of three days, police undertook 33 person searches, seven move-on directions, eight vehicle searches and six drug detections.
On Wednesday, October 9, a 20-year-old Sanctuary Point man was charged with two counts of possessing a prohibited drug (methylamphetamine and cannabis) and possessing knife in a public place after a vehicle stop east of Nowra.
A 20-year-old Worrigee woman was charged with driving while unlicenced after also being stopped east of Nowra.
They will appear in Nowra Local Court on October 28.
On Thursday, October 10 a 42-year-old Nowra woman was charged with shoplifting after allegedly taking $634 worth of groceries and cosmetics.
A 26-year-old Nowra man was also charged with shoplifting after he allegedly stole $18 worth of underwear.
A 22-year-old Lake Heights woman was charged with possessing a prohibited drug and possessing a prescribed restricted substance after being arrested in a supermarket in Nowra.
A 42-year-old Nowra woman was charged with shoplifting after allegedly stealing $115 worth of groceries.
A 40-year-old Nowra East man was charged with possessing a prohibited drug after a vehicle stop.
They will all face court on October 28.
A 34-year-old Nowra man was issued with a $300 criminal infringement notice after being caught shoplifting from a Nowra supermarket.
As a result of intelligence received during the operation, officers executed a search warrant at a residential address in Nowra East on October 11 and located and seized drugs, knuckledusters, a baton and a can of oleoresin capsicum (pepper) spray.
Police inquiries are continuing and charges are expected to be laid.
As a result of an ongoing investigation into property theft in the South Coast Police District, Proactive Crime Team officers also interviewed a 44-year-old male at a correctional facility.
The Batemans Bay man was charged with a large number of serious offences including multiple counts of vehicle theft, larceny, goods in custody and traffic-related offences. He appeared in Batemans Bay Local Court on October 14.
South Coast Police District Inspector David Cockram praised the proactive work of officers during the crime blitz.
"Offences such as shoplifting can have a detrimental impact on small businesses," Inspector Cockram said.
"We will continue to target and disrupt crimes in all its forms across the South Coast region."
