The council proposed a shelter be installed at 167 Moss Vale Road, using grant money.
However, some community members and business owners opposed the shelter for a variety of reasons, saying the proposed shelter did not fit with the visual aesthetic of the village and could reduce the availability of parking.
At the October 8 meeting of Shoalhaven City Council, councillors voted to: "Note the recent objections to the proposal to install a bus shelter at 167 Moss Vale Road, Kangaroo Valley and ... abandon the Kangaroo Valley location for the bus shelter in lieu of another location in the Shoalhaven."
