A report of a plane crash in Kangaroo Valley on Wednesday saw Ambulance, Police and Rural Fire Service personnel scrambling to search for wreckage. It turned out to be a false alarm but the coordinated response was very impressive as crews combed the area from where the report had come.
Thursday morning saw a real emergency on the Princes Highway at Meroo Meadow with a truck crash that blocked the highway for several hours.
That afternoon, crews were sent to another crash on the Princes Highway near The Wool Road in which a young girl was injured.
Tragedy struck at Manyana on Thursday afternoon, when a man drowned. Despite best efforts at CPR, he could not be revived after being dragged from the water.
