Tweddle comes to South Coast Blaze from the UTS Sparks Premier League under 23s team, where she has been head coach since the Netball NSW Premier League's inception.
She brings a wealth of experience and success to the Blaze.
She led the UTS Sparks under 20s side to a grand final in 2016, and a premier league championship title in 2017 and placed third in this year's competition.
Tweddle's coaching knowledge comes from an extensive playing and coaching history with Illawarra District Netball Association, the Illawarra Academy of Sport and the NSW Academy of Sport (currently NSWIS).
She is passionate and excited at the opportunity to build an exceptional U23s program for athletes at the South Coast Blaze.
Coaching selector and CEO of the Illawarra Academy of Sport John Armstrong said Tweddle's appointment was great move.
"The opportunity to bring her coaching talents home to the South Coast was an opportunity too good to refuse," Armstrong said.
"The South Coast Blaze are extremely excited to have Regan on board - congratulations Regan."
Along with newly appointed Open's Head Coach Marj Parr, and South Coast Blaze Ambassador, Committee Member former and Australian Diamonds player, Susan Pettitt, Tweddle completes the selection committee for the upcoming player trials for the Blaze.
Player applications for the trials have been extended and will now close Monday October 7 2019, at 10pm.
Players can head to http://bit.ly/SCBplayer. to submit their details.
South Coast Blaze is directly supported by three associations - Illawarra, Kiama and Shoalhaven.
The South Coast Blaze will be managed independently by a management Committee consisting of a representative from each association and four independent members.
