First half tries from William Rakura, Matthew James, Michael Henry and David Nawauivi, as well as a conversion and penalty goal by Michael Maidment, saw the Vikings streak away to a 25-nil by half-time.
But in true Van Goghs fashion, five-pointers from Ava Raboitoya, Corey Wydell and Cameron Dagger - with conversions from Nathanial Hampton Olive - saw Vincentia fight back.
Despite their best efforts, that's as close as the Van Goghs got, as another Maidment penalty goal sealed the seven-point win - with Vikings' Jared Constable being named man of the match.
In first grade, Avondale smashed Shamrocks 41-23 while Shamrocks downed Bowral 33-20 in second grade.
