Police charged six people with drug supply offences following investigations into an alleged South Coast drug syndicate.
Andrew Macklin-Zarounas, 26, Graham Colin Cox, 41, Peter Catterall, 32, and Jacquline Slingsby, 41, have all appeared before Nowra Local Court facing a variety of charges.
In May 2019, investigators from Criminal Groups Squad's Strike Force Raptor South and South Coast Police District established Strike Force Adnamira to investigate the manufacture and supply of methylamphetamine across the South Coast.
Macklin-Zarounas, of no fixed place of abode, was arrested at Nowra on August 28 and charged with four counts of supplying a prohibited drug, participating in a criminal group and an outstanding warrant.
Court papers allege he supplied methylamphetamines or ice and cannabis in Nowra between July 19 and August 23; gamma-hydroxide butyrate between July 29 and August 2; and buprenorphine between July 19 and August 23.
Gamma-hydroxide butyrate, or GBH, has been used in a medical setting as a general anaesthetic and as a treatment for cataplexy, narcolepsy, and alcoholism.
It is also used illegally as an intoxicant, as an athletic performance enhancer, as a date rape drug, and as a recreational drug.
Buprenorphine is an opioid used to treat opioid addiction and acute and chronic pain.
Macklin-Zarounas was also charged with participating in a criminal group in Nowra, North Nowra and East Nowra between March 2018 and August 2019.
He did not enter any pleas to the charges and was refused bail in Nowra Local Court by Magistrate Rob Walker on September 13.
He will reappear on November 11.
Cox, of Nowra, was arrested in Nowra on August 28 allegedly with $2350 in Australian currency believed to be the proceeds of crime.
Police also allege he participated in a criminal group between July 2018 and August 2019 in Nowra.
He also did not apply for bail which was refused by Magistrate Robert Walker in Nowra Local Court on September 13.
He is due back in court on November 11.
Catterall, of Culburra Beach, was arrested twice, first in Nowra on July 31 and then in Gerringong on August 1, over the alleged supply of a prohibited drug supply and breach of bail.
Police allege on both occasions he supplied methylamphetamines.
He did not apply for bail before Magistrate Susan McGowen in Nowra Local Court on Monday, September 16, which was formally refused.
He will reappear on October 14.
Slingsby, of Culburra Beach, was arrested by strike force investigators at Nowra Police Station on August 30 following further inquiries.
She was charged with two counts of supplying a prohibited drug (between indictable and commercial quantity).
Court papers said she allegedly supply methylamphetamine and buprenorphine.
Slingsby was also refused bail by Magistrate McGowen when she appeared in court on September 16 and will reappear on October 18.
A 21-year-old man was served with a future service court attendance notice for alleged firearm offences on July 17 and was remanded in custody over unrelated matters.
He will appear before Nowra Local Court on October 14.
A 49-year-old man was arrested at Culburra Beach on August 23 and charged with two counts of supplying a prohibited drug, two counts of dealing with the proceeds of crime, participating in a criminal group and resisting arrest.
He was refused bail and remanded in custody to appear before Nowra Local Court on October 18.
