The town is set to transform into a sea of pink in October as part of the McGrath Foundation's Pink Up Your Town.
The initiative sees communities come together to 'pink up', raise funds for McGrath breast cancer nurses and create a visual show of support for local families experiencing breast cancer.
Berry resident Deb Woolford has been a longtime supporter of the McGrath Foundation but with most of the awareness events happening in Sydney, she hasn't been able to get involved - until now.
"My mum died from breast cancer so it's a cause close to my heart," she said.
"When the McGrath Foundation rang me to see if I wanted to get involved with Pink Up Your Town I said 'why not?'."
Deb soon formed a committee of seven local women and has been planning the pink takeover since April.
October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Pink Up Your Town committee has a range of activities planned.
Berry is proud to be taking part in such a wonderful cause and it's brilliant to see the community coming together to show their support.
- Deb Woolford
"There are so many exciting activities taking part throughout October, from Barefoot Bowls, to our Street Stall and Trivia Night, to a Pink Up Your House and Pink Up Your Business Competition and even a beautiful Melbourne Cup Day Luncheon to celebrate our success at the end of the month," Deb said.
"Berry is proud to be taking part in such a wonderful cause and it's brilliant to see the community coming together to show their support."
There will also be an impressive range of raffle prizes up for grabs. Tickets are available at The Berry Barn, Berry Chiropractic, the Farmer's Markets and The Berry Markets on the October long weekend. They can also be purchased from Deb. Contact 0428 005 910 or pinkupberry2019@gmail.com.
