FOR the second straight year, a Greater Illawarra Zone side will take on one of the strongest teams in NSW Premier Cricket, Sutherland, in a trial match at Hayden Drexel Oval.

In 2018, Sutherland defeated Greater Illawarra on two occasions, firstly at Hayden Drexel Oval before downing them at North Dalton Park.
But this year's Greater Illawarra side, captained by Batemans Bay product Rhys Voysey will looking to reverse the result.
Voysey will be joined in the squad by fellow Shoalhaven products Duncan Maddinson, Alex Brown and Justin Weller, as well as Zac Jurd, Jayden Zahra-Smith, Kerrod White, Joe McDevitt, Nathan Riley, Stuart Tobin, Tim Goodall, Dylan Rae and Liam Urszulak.
While Sutherland's side will feature Jarryd Biviano, Chris Williams, Tom Doyle, Luke Hawksworth, Ben Dwarshuis, Daniel Fallins, Nick Amos, Tom Pinson, Jayden Brown, Flynn Parker and Liam Hehir.
The match will get underway at 9.30am on Saturday.
There will also be a Twenty20 match to be played between to the two sides at Wollongong's University Oval on October 8 at 6pm.
Shane Watson is a confirmed starter for Sutherland while the Greater Illawarra team will be a mix of Illawarra Flames and South Coast Crew Plan B Regional Bash teams.
