A group of local dancers are lining up for more success after taking part in a major tournament.
Local line dancing team 'Kicks and Giggles' went to Narrandera recent to defend their Big Country Hoedown title from last year and came away victorious.
Consisting of Victoria and Imogen O'Bryan, Leanne and Stephanie Perry, and Cathy Lucas, Kicks and Giggles, with the addition this year of Stephanie Moorley, placed second in their final for the group dance.
Duo Stephanie Perry and Imogen O'Bryan successfully defended their title - taking out the Big Country Hoedown first place, not only being named as Hoedown winners but taking home the cash prize as well.
Shannen Perry placed in the top six for her solo but just missed out on medal placement, while Stephanie Perry placed second for her solo.
This competition is a different format to most other line dancing comps as you must dance three dances and the scores for your first two dances get added together to decide if you make the finals.
In most other line dance competitions each dance stands alone and is marked separately.
The duo that took out the competition consist of two Bomaderry High School students, Stephanie Perry and Imogen O'Bryan.
Both girls are studying dance for their HSC, with Stephanie Perry also dancing and teaching at the local dance studio, Your Talent Team.
The team are now turning their attention to Tamworth in January 2020 for the Australian Line Dancing Championship where they currently hold a number of Australian titles including the title of ALDC Club of the Championship for 2019.
