The difference between to the two Shoalhaven District Football Association sides at Ison Park was Fraser Macqueen, who's first half strike sealed the 1-nil win for the Dragons.
Basin will now play Bomaderry in next Saturday's preliminary final, after Kevin Jackson's troops lost 4-nil to Rob Hawker's Huskisson-Vincentia in the major semi-final.
Earlier on Sunday, Basin thumped Sussex Seahawks 4-nil in second grade.
Goals from Bradley Southward (two), Ashley Hale and Jordan Reid secured Basin the win - setting up an elimination showdown with United, who lost 2-1 to Huskisson on Saturday.
The final game on Sunday saw Culburra smash United 4-nil in third grade, with Alex Kostovski, Joel Lahene, Robert Mackay and Benjamin Martin finding the back of the net.
The Cougars will now battle Manyana, who lost 1-nil to the Seagulls, for a spot in the third grade decider.
