In their AFL South Coast division one men's preliminary final, the Vikings jumped out of the gates to lead Figtree 3.4-22 to 1.0-6 after the first quarter at Hollymount Park.

But a five-goal second term by the Kangaroos saw the Vikings go into the main break down 6.2-38 to 3.4-22.

In windy conditions, the Vikings closed the gap to three points (5.6-36 to 6.3-39) by three-quarter-time.

The fourth quarter belonged to the Vikings, who kicked two goals while keeping the Kangaroos scoreless, to win 7.6-48 to 6.3-39.

In the win, Adam Weller led the way with three majors, while Luke Stevenson (two), Jakob Ellings and Caleb Sutton also kicked goals.

Others to play well for the Vikings were Braydon Page, Joseph McDonald, Lewis O'Brien and Mark Bignell.

The Vikings will now take on the Wollongong Bulldogs, from 12.50pm on Saturday, in the grand final at North Dalton Park.

In other results on Saturday, Dapto needed extra-time to defeat Bulldogs 1.1-7 to 0.1-1 in the division one women's fixture, while Northern Districts kicked a point in the last play of the game to edge Bulldogs 2.5-17 to 2.4-16 in the division two men's match.

The Bulldogs will meet Bomaderry in the premier women's final after downing Wollongong Lions 4.1-25 to 1.6-12, as Figtree qualified for their first premier men's decider by defeating reigning premiers Kiama 11.6-72 to 4.8-32.
