The NSW Government program is an annual grant, where a non-for-profit organisation or a local council can apply for funding for a community based infrastructure project. Grants can be between $2500-$300,000.
The proposed project must be beneficial for the community, enhance local facilities, well-organised, and have a deliverable time-frame and budget.
Projects must also must be for building, repairing or buying equipment for a community infrastructure. This does not apply to deliverable services or projects that have previously received funding from other sources.
Applicants must be representatives from a NSW approved non-for-profit organisation, such as a charity, an Aboriginal Land Council or a religious organisation.
Member for South Coast, Shelly Hancock, said local sports clubs, charities, schools and museums are just some of the groups that could benefit this program.
"If your organisation or club needs extra funding for infrastructure, such as accessible features, equipment or refurbishment, then I'd strongly encourage you to apply," she said.
Applications close September 27, and successful applications will be announced in March, 2020. Applications can be found online, and participants must read the program guidelines before they can apply.
