In the 16th minute, Randwick put three points on the board through a penalty kick, but the Students then scored 15 unanswered points to go into the break up by 12.
Despite an unrelenting effort by Randwick, the Students persevered through the strong go-forward of young front-rowers Tisera Volkman and Bridie O'Gorman who scored tries in the latter part of the match.
These tries, combined with the trusty boot of skipper Hewson sealed University's 29-point win.
