McDonald's has announced McHappy Day will be returning to Nowra on the November 16, to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

The RMHC is an organisation dedicated to helping families with hospitalised children stay together. It provides family rooms and housing on hospital property, where parents and guardians can stay while their children undergo treatment.
The RMHC accommodates more than 10,000 families a year, and families are provided with accommodation, meals, and tutoring services for children missing out on school.

On McHappy day, $2 from every Big Mac sold goes to the RMHC, and there will be special items on sale, whose proceeds will go the Ronald McDonald's House.
People are also encouraged to make a gold coin donation to the McHappy Day Bucket Brigades.
The RMHC have also announced that Hollywood actress Katie Holmes has been selected as the official McHappy Day ambassador. Ms. Holmes said she was proud to be name the 2019 ambassador, and she will be appearing in Australia on McHappy Day, to help with the fundraising.
Donations can also be made directly at your local McDonalds or online, anytime during the year.
