The St John the Evangelist Catholic High School student, fresh off winning the King of MX state title, capped off the five-stage series with a second place finish at Cessnock - being pipped by one point by Ky Woods.
This result followed a third at Lake Macquarie, a second at Maitland and first place at both Hastings Valley and Dubbo.
"During the early part of the season, I was still recovering from a knee injury," Hantis said.
"But once me knee was at 100 per cent, I was able to race up to the standard I knew I was capable of.
"Heading into the final round, I was confident I could wrap up the event, as I had a 24 point lead over my nearest competitor - which I did thanks to another podium finish."
When he crossed the line and the title was his, the 12-year-old was over the moon.
"I was stoked to come away with the championship, after coming runner-up the past three years," he said.
"To be able to finally take out the top spot after also claiming the state title earlier in the year was great.
"This victory means a lot as I have now cemented my position as the state's top 12-year-old rider in the 85cc class."

Hantis, who's younger brother Zane also competed at the East Coast MX Series, will now shift his attentions to the Australian titles at Gillman, South Australia next month.
"I went down and rode the track with my coach Greg Moss about a month ago and felt fast," he said.
"Two of Australia's top 12-year-olds, from Queensland and Western Australia, will be there, so it's going to be tough to beat them.
"But I have full confidence I'm capable of coming away with an Australian title."
