THE top up and coming Aussie Rules prospects in AFL South Coast were recognised for their strong 2019 seasons on the field at Monday's Shoalhaven juniors presentation evening, held at the Mollymook Golf Club.

With more than 150 people in attendance for this inaugural event - which was held on grand final day in the past - numerous players, coaches and volunteers were acknowledged.
In the under 11s, Bay and Basin's Cooper Malmborg claimed the Best and Fairest award, ahead of Ulladulla's Lachlan Barry, while the Bombers also took out the under 13s top award, with Jethro Snelling winning it from Dockers' Ben Clough.
Shoalhaven Giants' Jess McNamara secured the Volunteer of the Year, ahead of other nominees Jaimie Petterwood (Batemans Bay), Roslyn Phillips (Bomaderry), Chris Stubbs (Bay and Basin) and Dave Neil (Ulladulla).
The two other major award winners on the night were Bomaderry's Paul Richards (Junior Coach of the Year) and Shoalhaven's Dave Ellerington (Auskick Coordinator of the Year).

The five under 13 girls Encouragement Awards on the night went to Batemans Bay's Sophie Firth, Bay and Basin's Morena Margione, Bomaderry's Maleia Lam, Shoalhaven's Aimee Coulson-Knight and Ulladulla's Taz Boddington.
While the quintet to receive the under nines Encouragement Awards were Batemans Bay's Alyssa Tilyard, Bay and Basin's Jackson Sheriff, Bomaderry's Boston Mastrengelo, Shoalhaven's Lincoln Taylor and Ulladulla's Thomas Tudor-Jones.
Finally, the evening saw the following athletes receive their awards from being their Shoalhaven team's respective Representative Players of the Carnival.
Those players are Batemans Bay's Thomas Lassau (under 13s), Bomaderry's Fergus Priest (under 15s), Batemans Bay's Jack Hirst (under 17s), Ulladulla's Mel Staunton (youth girls) and Naomi Smith (Recognition Award).
