Some of the hot-button issues on tonight's agenda include more dog friendly beaches, assisting op shops with tipping fees and advocating to the NSW Government for homeless shelter funding.
Cr Pakes has said op shops have spoken to him and are struggling to deal with the cost of disposing of rubbish dumped at their sites.
But Mayor Amanda Findley believes the op shops already have support with tipping fees.
More council news:
"Op shops already have under the EPA an opportunity to seek an exemption... which means they can take their stuff directly to the tip anyway," Cr Findley said.
Cr Findley wants Cr Pakes to change his motion to reflect staff advice that charities can apply for an exemption to tipping fees.
