At Artie South Oval, Geoff Gibbs' side fell behind big early to trail 3.1-19 to 0.0-0 after one quarter - thanks to three goals from Lions' Shanae Flower.
The Tigers started to claw their back in the second and third quarters, reducing the margin to less than a goal going into the final term.
A two-goal final term, while restricting the visitors to not a single point for three periods, helped the hosts secure a 4.8-32 to 3.1-19 win - their 11th of the season.
In the win, Jaimi-Lee Gibbs (two), Bridget Kellett and Katie Sargent kicked goals, as Sophie Phillips, Emma Dempsey and Ellie Priest also played strongly.
Unfortunately for the Tigers, this was their only win for the day, as Matt Barnes' under-strength premier men's side lost 16.16-112 to 2.1-13 to the Lions, while Brent Tyrrell's division one men's side ended their campaign with a tough 4.7-31 to 3.6-24 loss to Wollongong.
At Kully Bay Oval, Nowra-Albatross secured a dramatic one-point win against Port Kembla, prevailing 9.4-58 to 8.9-57 - thanks to goals from Taigen Dubbelde (five), Adam Weller (two), Brad Barnes and Connor Edwards.
The Vikings' division one women's team also secured a tight victory, edging Bay and Basin 1.4-10 to 0.4-4 at Vincentia.
Finally, both of Ulladulla's men's and women's sides ended their regular seasons with wins, defeating Dapto City 10.11-71 to 5.3-33 and 6.3-39 to 1.2-8 respectively.
Looking ahead, both of Bomaderry's premier men's and women's team have qualified for their respective semi-finals, which will both be played at Shellharbour's Myimbarr Oval.
Gibbs' women's side, who finished the season in second, will take on the Wollongong Bulldogs in the major semi-final from 11am, with Barnes' men's side taking on Figtree in the minor semi-final from 2.30pm.
Earlier in the day at Myimbarr, Bay and Basin will play in their first ever final, when they take on the Bulldogs in the division one women's minor semi-final.
While the Vikings' men's side will battle the Bulldogs from 2.15pm at Tom Smith Oval for a spot in the division one final.
The other two games at Tom Smith Oval will feature the Dockers trying to qualify for their respective deciders - with the women battling Dapto from 10.45am, before the men take on Northern Districts from 12.30pm.
