Much needed rain has finally arrived for the week, breaking the dry spell that lasted through June and August.
Nowra has received 4.2mm of rainfall since 9am, with showers expected to persist through to Saturday. The wet conditions bring cold weather, with temperatures are only expected to hit between 5-18 degrees.
Ulladulla and the Southern Shoalhaven have received a similar forecast, with a 90 per cent chance of thunderstorms in Ulladulla by Friday.
Kangaroo Valley, Bowral and Moss Vale are expected to get most of the rain, as Thursday and Friday bring a 70 per cent chance of a 20-40mm rainfall.
However, the wet weather will be short-lived, as there is a 30 per cent chance of sunny skies by Sunday, and no predicted rain after that.
