Rebecca Gallagher is one of those people.
The Bomaderry Public School teacher lives her life to help others.
The South Coast Register's Damian McGill recently caught with Rebecca to talk about her upcoming trip to Cambodia to work with 120 girls rescued out of human trafficking.
He was impressed with Rebecca's desire to not only help the Cambodian girls but also her inspirational story in general.
Damian is currently working on a piece that is sure to impress and inspire others.
His in-depth piece will appear in the print and online versions of the South Coast Register early next week.
Meanwhile, Rebecca was a worthy recipient of the Rotary Club of Bomaderry's John Christmas Vocational Award, which is a prize to recognise people in the community.
She works with underprivileged youth, particularly in East Nowra.
As a special needs teacher at Bomaderry Public, she believes in working with love and care to provide a safe network for vulnerable people.
One of her passions is the Shine program that helps young women to understand their value. In November she will travel to Cambodia to work with 120 girls rescued out of sex trafficking and applying what she has learned in the Shine program.
She is organising a trivia fundraiser Esther's Voice, an organisation that exists to prevent human trafficking and bring healing to women rescued from human trafficking, on Thursday, September 5 at Huskisson Hotel from 7 pm.
Rebecca also has several other fundraisers to come, which the Register will also promote.
