After defeating Nowra Bomaderry last week, the Lions secured third on the ladder to set up Saturday's clash.
While pleased with his team's third-place finish, Cronin recognsies they must improve their discipline and completion rate if they are to topple the Superoos and Shellharbour in the big games over the coming weeks.
"We've got a history of the last six to eight weeks just making errors against good sides," Cronin said. "You just can't do it against good sides."

Saturday's match will be a tough task for Gerringong, with Jamberoo prevailing in the two previous meetings between the sides this season.
The Superoos claimed a 30-12 victory over the Lions in round 12, while the got the win by a tighter 14-10 margin in round three.
Cronin knows Jamberoo will make it three victories this season if his side doesn't improve on their recent performances.

"We've just got to improve on our ball control. Even though it wasn't as bad against Nowra Bomaderry, we've been giving away silly penalties, even when there's no pressure. So we've just got to improve on our mistakes."
The winner of Saturday's match will go on to face minor premiers Shellharbour City, while the loser will play the winner of Sunday's elimination final.
That clash will see Kiama host Warilla at Kiama Showground, the two teams splitting their regular season fixtures.
