The Hall of Fame recognises candidates at any level of Australian Football and there have been some notable nominations already made from the South Coast.
Bomaderry Tigers legend Neville 'Sticks' Hickmott, who is already a member of the AFL South Coast Hall of Fame, has been recognised for his outstanding contribution to football in the region by being nominated.
Throughout his career, Sticks played 423 senior games for the Tigers, as well as holding positions such as president, secretary and first and reserve grade coach.
He also played 20 representative games for AFLSC and has since been team manager for a number of years.
Sticks, who was the 2003 AFLSC reserve grade leading goal-kicker, has also been named AFL South Coast Volunteer of the Year twice - in 2011 and 2015.
If you know another Australian Football identity that deserves to be nominated, please visit http://aflnswact.com.au/nsw-australian-football-hall-of-fame before September 6.
Candidates will be judged on their outstanding service and overall contribution to the game of Australian Football, and their individual record, ability, integrity, sportsmanship and character.
The number of football games played, coached or umpired or the years of service provided shall only be a consideration and shall not be determinative in assessing a candidate's eligibility;
- A player, coach, umpire, administrator or media representative involved at any level of Australian Football may be eligible for induction.
- Candidates are to be judged on their overall contribution to Australian Football in NSW, as opposed to one specific aspect.
- Candidates may be born or from outside of NSW.
- Players, coaches, umpires, administrators, volunteers, and media representatives do not need to be retired to be eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame.
