In the third last round before the Shoalhaven District Football Association finals kick-off, Dicker's troops moved back into the all-important top four - leapfrogging the Dragons - by securing their ninth win of the campaign.
The match's scoring at Ison Park started when Dragons' Fraser Macqueen found the back of the net after just nine minutes.
This goal was cancelled out by Bears' Matthew Lewis 10 minutes later - which is how it remained until half-time.
Despite the efforts of both sides, it took 22 minutes for the deadlock to be broken, when Lewis scored his second.
But Dane McGinn dragged the visitors back into the match with his strike in the 82nd minute.
Just when it appeared the two sides would have to settle for a draw, Kaine Good popped up and scored the Bears' third in the 89th minute - securing maximum points for the hosts.
This victory moves United up to 36 points, the same as Basin, and just one behind Illaroo - who played out a seven-goal thriller with Culburra.
At Sharman Park, the hosts led two-nil at half-time, thanks to goals from Ross Dunlop and Evan Leedham.
But second half strikes from Roy Miller, Jack Miller, Dale Blundell and Hugh Harrison saw the Cougars fightback for a memorable win.
The Roos' third goal was scored by Evan Leedham.
This win by Culburra moves them to within two points of United and Basin, with two weeks remaining in the regular season.
The weekend of upsets continued at Lighthouse Oval, as Milton-Ulladulla edged out Kevin Jackson's Bomaderry 2-1.
In the win, Brent Anderson and Jarrod Murray scored for the Panthers in the 60th and 81st minutes respectively, while Dale Russell found the back of the net in the 89th minute for the Tigers.
Sitting above all this chaos are Huskisson-Vincentia, who had the bye in round 20.
Elsewhere on Saturday, Callala and and Manyana drew one-all, with James Wayside (43rd) and Bill Zapppas (second minute) scoring the respective goals.
The final match of the round also ended one-all, with Sussex being held by Shoalhaven Heads-Berry at the Thompson Street Sporting Complex.
The Sharks appeared set to claim all three points thanks to a 75th minute Brad Page goal.
But Nathan McNamara scored in the 89th minute, to see the two sides share the spoils.
Looking ahead, in the penultimate round, Bomaderry host Illaroo, Callala play Huskisson-Vincentia, Manyana take on Sussex, St Georges Basin battle Milton-Ulladulla and Shoalhaven Heads-Berry clash with Shoalhaven United - as Culburra have the weekend off.
