Police are investigating several fires believed to be the work of an arsonist in the Shoalhaven.

Between 4.15pm and 8pm on Saturday, six spot fires were reported to emergency services in the Culburra Beach and Orient Point areas.

They were small spot fires in bushland areas and were extinguished with no damage to property.
Police attended each scene and conducted an extensive canvass of the area.
Culburra Beach Rural Fire Brigade volunteers helped extinguish the fires.
