Pop sensation Conrad Sewell paid a visit to St John the Evangelist Catholic High School on Tuesday, August 13, as part of a regional tour to support his new album.
"I actually didn't know Nowra existed - I've never really been to the South Coast or regional Australia," he said.
"But it's the heart of Australia and I wanted to get out and meet some real people."
Mr Sewell is from Brisbane - his sister is also a musician and his grandparents toured with the Bee Gees.
He began singing at a young age, and wrote his first song at 10. He has since toured the world and released a number one ARIA single.
"It's cheesy, but never giving up, all those lines you hear in life are pretty much true," he said.
"If you believe in yourself enough, other people will believe in you."
