At Monday's NSW Rugby Awards in Sydney, Hewson was rewarded for guiding her Waratahs to back-to-back Super W titles - a competition they haven't lost a game in over its two-year existence.
Other award winners from Hewson's side went to Grace Hamilton (Super W Player of the Year), Emily Chancellor (Super W Best Forward) and Arabella McKenzie (Super W Rookie of the Year).
While in the men, Waratahs skipper Michael Hooper took home his sixth Matt Burke Cup, with Rob Simmons (Super Rugby Best Forward), Karmichael Hunt (Super Rugby Best Back) and Lachlan Swinton (Chris Whitaker Medal) also be recognised.
Other notable awards on the night went to Bourke Rams' Liam Rice (Youth Volunteer of the Year), Southern Districts' Steve Johnson (Senior Volunteer of the Year), Sydney North's Angus Cameron (Young Community Match Official of the Year), Central Coast's Kate Thomson (Community Match Official of the Year), Eastwood's Irene Taylor (Spirit of Rugby - Girls Player of the Year), Kempsey's St Pauls College's Heath Lancaster (Spirit of Rugby - Boys Player of the Year), St Joseph's College's Hugh Bochenham (Matthew Street Shield) and Mark Nawaqanitawase (Dave Dennis Elite Youth Development Player of the Year).
