A Nowra woman who pleaded guilty to receiving more than $24,000 in Centrelink payments to which she was not entitled has been placed on a $1000 Commonwealth bond and ordered to repay the money.

Sharyn Gilmore, 54, pleaded guilty to receiving financial advantage from a Commonwealth entity.
In a case brought by the Department of Human Services, court papers said Gilmore claimed the Newstart Allowance for three-and-a-half years between October 2014 and February 2018, while she was also working casually.
Court papers said during that period Gilmore made 88 false declarations, in which she failed to declare she had worked and received payment.
At the time she was receiving a carer's payment and Newstart.
Court papers said she was paid $38,733.19 during that period when she was only entitled to $14,687.19, and therefore was overpaid $24,045.28.
Papers stated during that time she had also earned $84,409.95 nett pay working for Australian Leisure and Hospitality and only declared $45,214 gross wages.
Magistrate Roger Clisdell placed her on a $1000 Commonwealth good behaviour bond and ordered she repay the money.
