Zoe Wundenberg in her comments on July 12 was an opinion she expressed that is obviously something she is passionate about and entitled to express.
Her main points was with HECS and how the increase is effecting many people.
She points out the injustice of this while at the same time governments give themselves pay rises while reducing penalty rates. Refusing Newstart increases.
It's about survival and equality, B. Cumberland, and let's not forget that it is this current government who has been in power for the last six years, not Labor. This government bought in these changes.

Sentiment rings hollow
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced a suicide prevention policy and shared a video of this announcement across social media channels.
If you are all for supporting mental health, why did you not support same sex marriage, Mr Morrison?
Some may wonder what same sex marriage has to do with mental health.
Research from mental health group ReachOut showed that more than 40 per cent of LGBTI Australians seeking help for mental illness during the same sex marriage plebiscite were at a high risk of suicide. But Mr Morrison said, "It's okay to vote no."
According to Beyond Blue studies, LGBTI people have the poorest mental health of any group in Australia (Mr Morrison failed to mention this in his video), and are more than twice as likely to experience a high level of psychological distress.
Same sex attracted Australians attempt suicide at rates more than 14 times their straight peers.
The elevated risk of suicidality among LGBTI people is not due to sex or gender identity in and of themselves, but rather due to discrimination and exclusion in society as key determinants of health.
Shame Prime Minister, shame!

Disaster in the making
Wondering what happened to the Footpath to Education project in Yalwal Road that was started many years ago and only managed about 50 metres before it comes to a dead end.
The footpath, especially between Depot and Albatross roads,is non-existent with the only option if you are pushing a pram or using a mobility scooter is to be on the road, which to say the least is extremely dangerous.
The population of West Nowra and Mundamia continues to grow, yet it appears the residents in that area are the forgotten ratepayers.
What will it take before council follows through with the footpath, the death or serious injury of a mother and baby or disabled person?

Self-interest prevailed
It could be said the fate of Labor's Mrs Fiona Phillips may rest with the adjudged performance of Labor in opposition.
Whilst Labor nationally had reported high levels of support at the last election, that support evaporated at the ballot box as a result of the symptom of self-interest prevailing.
Many wanted to vote Labor and their progressive policies but their high taxing agenda spooked them. Enter self-interest resulting, in a miracle win for the Coalition.
Labor must address voter concern about their high taxing policies or Labor in Gilmore will no longer prevail.
There may be no one to protest against next time so policy issues will be front and centre and all must watch the horse flashing down the outside called self-interest as has happened in the past.
