The Street Relays were held through the streets of the beautiful University of Newcastle, Central Coast Campus, situated at Ourimbah.
The team combination of Will Dyball, Jacob Pepper, Nash Hay and Cooper Barrett brought home a bronze medal in the Under 16 4x2km event for Nowra.
Will led the team out completing the 2km in 6 minutes 43 seconds.
Jacob Pepper ran next finishing in 6min 50sec.
Nash Hay completed the third leg followed by Cooper Barrett who brought the team home in a combined time of 28 minutes 09 seconds.
They ran in just behind Mingara Athletics who finished second in 27:38 whilst Randwick Botany were first in 26:01.
In the Open female 4x4km event, Alexis Charalambous led Nowra out with a 15min 40sec leg, followed by Ella Dyball in 16min 18sec.
Lily Wheeler took the third leg in 17.03 with Erin Smart running the home leg in 16.38.
Nowra finished fifth in a close contest, clocking 1.05.39, just behind Asics Wests who clocked 1:05:02 for 4th place.
Considering three of the runners for Nowra were all eligible to run in the Under 16 event, they did exceptionally well amongst a much older, more experienced field of runners in the Opens event.
Well done to everyone involved, an excellent effort all round!
