A few residents around the Nowra and Callala Bay areas have noticed some discoloured water from their drinking taps.
A Shoalhaven City Council spokesperson said that many reasons may explain water discolouration.
"The isolated discolouration experienced in Nowra East was a consequence of a commercial water carrier drawing water from the mains supply in a higher than normal volume," the spokesperson said.
