The Korean War Veterans Association NSW remembrance committee would like to invite everyone to a memorial service for this special day.
The service will be held at Walsh Park, Meroo Street, Bomaderry at 2pm on July 27. The committee looks forward to seeing everyone.
The Deputy Consul General of the Republic of Korea, Mr Suchang Cho will be attending the event.
Mr Bob Morris from Worrigee, a Korean War veteran, said he hopes the younger generation will continue to mark this day.
"I'm 84-years-old now so it's my hope that school children will carry it on," he said.
Over the years Mr Morris has helped get the conflict more recognition through medal campaigns and school visits all round the country.
If you wish to lay a wreath at the memorial service, the committee can provide one. RSVP to Alice Burns either by phine 4423 1890 or email aliceburns34@hotmail.com by July 19.
The Korean War began when North Korea invaded South Korea in June 25, 1950 and ran until July 27, 1953.
