In the early game, the under 11 boys Tigers team clawed their Giants opponents winning 7-10-52 to 2.0-12.
In the 40-point win, the black and golds' goals were kicked by Wade Mckenzie (three), Boston Mastrangelo (two) and Liam Johnstone (two).
This exciting match was followed by the under 13s girls clash between the Giants and Tigers - an introductory six-week AFL South Coast competition where the scores aren't kept.
Next week, both the aforementioned Giants teams battle the Bay and Basin Bombers at the Vincentia Sporting Complex, while both the Bomaderry Tigers teams have the bye.
