There's so much coming to Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre in July - an Australian singing icon, treats for families and something for grandparents.
Friday, July 5, 8pm: John Williamson: The Butcherbird Tour presented by Artist Network. You can call him what you want; Mallee Boy, True Blue or just plain Fair Dinkum, but there is no denying after more than 40 years in the music industry, John Williamson is truly an Australian icon. This new tour comes off the back of his recent album by the same name. The album and tour see John celebrate and pen the stories into song he continues to be passionate about: the country, the people and the fight for what is right. Tickets $33-54.
Friday, July 12 to Sunday, July 21, 2pm and 7.30pm: Wicked! The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz presented by Albatross Musical Theatre Company. With a full orchestra in the pit and over 50 in the cast, this show promises to make witches fly and levitate and of course, you can't go past the magic of theatre. Tickets $46-49.
Monday, July 15, 6.30pm, Tuesday, July 16, 11am and 2pm, Wednesday, July 17, 11am and 2pm: Robot Song, written by Jolyon James, is based on a true story and contains themes about autism spectrum. When 11-year-old Juniper May receives a petition signed by her entire class stating that she is 'the most hated person in the school' her life is thrown into complete meltdown. Juniper stops eating, she refuses to return to school and her parents become increasingly desperate. Finally, after exhausting all other avenues her parents resort to the only thing they have left, a giant singing robot. All tickets $22.
