The Coondoo Classic, hosted by Vincentia High School, is the South Coast Public Schools Cross-Country Mountain Bike Championships.
This year marked the event's 12th anniversary and the track, near Falls Creek and Forest Road, was in great condition.
The track's good condition gave the riders the chance to zoom around the course with a vengeance.
The course was both interesting and challenging for the both experienced and novice riders alike.
Most local high schools were represented with Ulladulla and Vincentia High school leading the participation section.
Aim of the event is to develop mountain bike racing in the South Coast, increase physical activity in adolescents and for students to have fun.
It was good to see some nice courtesy shown on the course by the riders.
When a faster rider came across a slower competitor a polite request of 'can we slip past' was issued and quickly accepted.
Well done to all the organisers and volunteers who made sure the event was a great success.
