Police attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command, the proactive crime team and general duties from Nowra found the stolen Holden Commodore station wagon, which it is believed led police on at least four pursuits in the area over two days, at Worrigee on Tuesday afternoon.

Police found the vehicle on Worrigee Road around 2.30pm on June 18, with several people of interest, including a 19-year-old Nowra man who it is alleged was involved in the pursuits.

There were numerous reports of a high speed police pursuit from Nowra to Bomaderry and return around 10pm on Monday, June 17, before police terminated the chase due to safety concerns.

Police again spotted the vehicle at 2am on Tuesday morning on the Princes Highway at South Nowra and again started a pursuit which was terminated a minute later due to the manner in which the vehicle was being driven.

Police also reported two other separate chases with a similar vehicle on Tuesday morning before locating the car at Worrigee.

A 19-year-old man arrested in relation to the pursuits was interviewed and released, pending further inquiries.

Three other people including a 17-year-old girl from Nowra were also arrested at the location.

A 21-year-old old male from Nowra was interviewed and charged with break, enter and steal offences, unrelated to the motor vehicle pursuits.

Another 23-year-old male from Nowra was charged with being carried in a conveyance.

The female was also arrested in relation to being carried in a conveyance and is likely to be dealt with via legal action through the Young Offenders Act.

The vehicle was seized by police and the men will appear at Nowra Local Court on a date to be fixed.
