Police seek driver from high speed pursuits
SOUTH Coast police continue to investigate after officers were involved in at least two separate pursuits in the Nowra and Bomaderry area late Monday night and in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
It is believed the same Holden Commodore station wagon was involved in both chases.
Around 10pm on Monday the Commodore was spotted by police in Clipper Road, east of Nowra.
Police say the driver failed to stop when indicated to by officers and a pursuit started.
The pursuit continued north on the Princes Highway to Bomaderry with a highway patrol vehicle, an unmarked police car and a paddy wagon involved.
It is understood the vehicle travelled north on the highway before turning into Meroo Road and backtracking through numerous Bomaderry streets before entering Cambewarra Road.
The Commodore was seen being pursued west on Cambewarra Road before turning south on the Princes Highway and heading back towards Nowra.
The chase continued through scheduled highway roadworks near the Nowra Anglican College.
Police continued the pursuit to Plunkett Street, Nowra where officers terminated the chase.
The car was spotted again by police on the Princes Highway at Nowra Hill around 2am.
Police said the vehicle was pursued again for about a minute before the chase was called off, again due to the way it was being driven.
Police say investigations into the incidents are continuing.
