A Fishermans Paradise man, caught driving four times while suspended, has been spared jail time.
Instead, Jamie Ryan Watson will serve his sentence in the community after being placed on a six-month intensive corrections order by Nowra Local Court Magistrate Gabriel Fleming.
She also ordered he perform 90 hours of community service and disqualified him from driving for five months.
Court papers said Watson, despite being disqualified from driving, was caught behind the wheel at 11.50am on December 13 on the Princes Highway at Milton, at 10.45pm on January 9 at Conjola Park, 3.13pm on January 14 on the Princes Highway near Ulladulla and 3.10am on January 25 on the Princes Highway at South Nowra.
On two of those occasions he was also found to have cannabis and methylamphetamine in his system.
Police said Watson was well known to officers for traffic-related matters.
On one occasion he told officers he was going to get milk as he had "run out and needed it for his fruit loops".
On another occasion he told officers he just "wanted to go for a drive...do the crime do the time".
