BERRY'S Tom Connor and his Samurai International rugby side have made it two grand final appearances in as many weeks, after taking out Portugal's Algarve Sevens recently.

Fresh off finishing second at the Amsterdam Sevens, the Samurai opened their tournament with three straight pools victories, against China club champions Shandong (24-7), French side Seventise (26-12) and Hong Kong (28-15).
Connor's side lost their final pool game to France 21-14 at the start of day two, which saw them finish second in their group - setting up a semi-final showdown with Italy.
The Samurai had no issues with the Italians, easily winning 33-7.
This win booked them a rematch with France in the final - a game in which they dug deep and won 17-14 to claim the title.
Following the grand final, Connor was rewarded for his strong play by be awarded the best player of the tournament.
The Shoals product will now enjoy some time off before he rejoins the Australian Sevens team in July, as they prepare for their Olympic qualifiers in October.
