Wednesday night saw the Under 15 As take on Milton Black with a 4-1 loss, Taj Heckenberg scoring the boys' goal.

Under 17s boys played the best game of their season with a bare 11 taking the field against Husky. Basin were able to bring the game to 3-3 with a hat-trick from Liam Davis, two of which were free kicks taken from 25 metere out.

Unfortunately, Husky scored in the dying minutes of the game leaving Basin with a 4-3 loss.

Team manager James Dixon commented: "This really is a team of the future - when you consider half the team qualify for the under 15s, it really is a question as to how good they can be in coming years."

Thursday night saw the Over 35s take on Husky with a 7-1 victory. Peter Roth, David Clarke and Ray Luke all scored two goals whilst Rob Thompson netted the 7th.

There were no Saturday junior games last weekend due to the long weekend, however the Senior men were up for a double header.

Saturday saw all grades take on United at home.

Third grade men secured a 2-1 win with goals from Alex McGarrell and Jack Eastwood.

Reserve Grade had a convincing 4-0 win with "Koach Keith" Graham making a brilliant debut scoring himself a goal and setting up others.

Other goal scorers included Jordan Reid, Brad Southward and Chris Brown.

Coach Martin Warner was ecstatic with his team's performance.

First grade unfortunately went down 4-0 in a match where the score line certainly didn't reflect the intensity of the contest, one of the goals occurring when the team only had eight players on the field.

Monday saw the second half of the boys' double header down at Milton.

Third grade technically had a 1-0 loss in a game that got cut 25 minutes short due to a Milton player suffering a broken leg.

It was frustrating for the team who could have made more out of the match with a full 80 minutes.

Reserve Grade continued their winning form with a 1-0 win with Brian Booth scoring the winning goal.

First grade broke their drought with a 4-3 win with Brendan Hobbs and Tim White both scoring two goals each.

Unfortunately, the team has also suffered another severe injury with striker Connor MacQueen going down with a broken leg. Connor has had surgery and the Basin wishes him a speedy recovery.

The end of these rounds sees Basin First Grade Men's in 5th position on equal points with 4th position and 6 points out from first.

Reserve grade sits in 3rd position on equal points with 2nd position.

Third Grade sits in 6th position with 1st position only 7 points ahead.

Over 35s sit comfortably in 1st position, 7 points ahead of 2nd. It is certainly a close competition this year.
