The Shoalhaven Community Choir, Sing Australia Vincentia, Raised Voices and students form the Shoalhaven Music and Performing Arts Studio are coming together to celebrate international Make Music Day on Friday, June 21.
Make Music Day is a celebration of music around the world.
It started in France as the Fete de la Musique in 1982 and is now held on the same day in more than 1000 cities in 120 countries, now including Nowra.
Suzanne Hammond-Warne from the Shoalhaven Community Choir said she's looking forward to showcasing local talent.
"The Shoalhaven has so much amazing musical talent which includes a variety of choirs and on finding out about the Make Music day concept we thought that bringing the local choirs together would make a great concert," she said.
The concert will be held at the Uniting Church Hall, 29 Berry Street, Nowra from 7pm.
The concert will feature all choirs singing individually their favourite songs, followed by a special song sung together in a rousing chorus.
There will be an interval where a delicious supper will be provided by the Greenwell Point Hospital Auxiliary for a gold coin donation.
Jenny Smith from Sing Australia said she hopes it's the start of something special.
"It is a great concept and could start small and build up louder every year," she said.
