THE Shoalhaven Baseball Association travelled to Tamworth to participate in the Tamworth 51st Invitational Carnival over the June long weekend with Team Shoalies B and B, playing in a D grade competition.

On Saturday we had three games, the first one against WHW Warriors. Shoalies came out strongly with an impressive 10-5 win, a great start to our weekend. Double hits went to Stuart Raymond (2) and Matt Moore. SIngles went to David Crowley, Greg Symmans, Tausia Antonio and Tony Burgess.
Pitcher of the game was Tausia Antonio who pitched 43 strikes with 71 pitches and 5 strikeouts.
In the second game Shoalies took on the Thundercocks in a closer game with Shoalies coming out winners 9-6. Double hits of the game went to Andrew Provest and Benny Campbell with singles going to Leith Grant and Stuart Raymond.
Pitching duties were shared with Angus Fraser starting, throwing 18 pitches with 2 strikes. Benny Campbell was next up with 26 pitches 11 strikes and 2 strikeouts.Then to finish Austin Raymond had 46 pitches with 29 strikes and 2 strikeouts.
The third and final game of the day against the Rams was a close affair with the lead changing numerous times throughout the game, Shoalies eventually coming out on top winning in the last innings 8-7.
The only double hit of the game went to Andrew Provest with singles going to Leith Grant (3), Stuart Raymond (2), Ben Campbell, David Crowley, Tausia Antonio and Andrew Provest.
We had Matt Calderon pitch the whole game throwing 77 pitches with 47 strikes and 4 strikeouts.
Sunday we went into our games well rested after enjoying a team social night. Our day started facing Team Duff in a very close game with pressure building on and off the field. Shoalies had a graceful 2-1 defeat.
Shoalies only had 3 hits in the game going to Andrew Provest, Stuart Raymond and Matt Calderon.
Pitcher for the game was Austin Raymond throwing 87 pitches, 47 strikes and 2 strikeouts.
The last game on Sunday was played in good spirits against Mick's Mavericks with Shoalies winning 7-6.
Double hits in this game went to Ben Campbell, Matt Calderon and Angus Fraser.
Singles went to Matt Moore(2), Tausia Antonio, Chris Keith, Ben Campbell, Matt Calderon, Ben Quiney, Stuart Raymond and Melissa Keith. Matt Calderon starred on the mound throwing 69 pitches, 43 strikes with 2 strikeouts.
There was one game to be played on Monday against The Bench Warmers then a final to be played pending results.
