SHOALHAVEN Rugby Club have slumped to their fifth straight loss in Illawarra Rugby's first grade competition, after they went down 48-14 to Bowral at Erridge park on Saturday.

In the loss, Brandon brothers Steven and Mark scored one try each for the Shoals, with the latter landing two conversions.
The 34-point win moves the Blacks into first place on the ladder, with the Shoals remaining in ninth after eight rounds.
Elsewhere in first grade, second placed Avondale smashed Vikings 41-5, Kiama edged out Tech Waratahs 24-22, University of Wollongong thumped Campbelltown 59-14 and Shamrocks ran riot against Camden 55-3.
In second grade, Shoals went down 52-14 to Bowral, while the Vincentia Van Goghs are now in second place in the third grade competition after easily accounting for the Wollondilly White Eagles 52-5.
The Shoals will next host the Shamrocks on Saturday, June 15 at Rugby Park.
