The 33-point loss sees Shoals drop to ninth on the ladder, while the Wombats, who have won five of their seven matches, move up into second spot.
Elsewhere in first grade, Bowral thumped Camden 38-17, Shamrocks smashed University 41-8, Tech Waratahs defeated Campbelltown 29-24 in a high scoring affair and Vikings edged out Kiama 31-14.
Shoals didn't fair any better in second grade, losing 62-17 to Avondale, while the club's third grade side has been withdrawn from the Illawarra Rugby competition, following a decision last week.
But the Vincentia Van Goghs will continue to fly the Shoalhaven flag proudly in third grade, as shown by comprehensive 54-17 victory against Tech Waratahs.
Next up for Shoals is a trip to Bowral to face the Blacks at Eridge Park.
